Hello Everyone!

For summer weddings from May through July, I’m sure many of your customers ask you to include peonies in their bouquets and centerpieces. Peonies are absolutely gorgeous, and their presence alone can truly elevate a bouquet.
When I design wedding bouquets, I usually use both peonies and roses. But this time, I decided to feature only peonies as the main flower, letting their beauty take center stage.
Here’s the bouquet recipe for this romantic, garden-style wedding bouquet.
1. Placed primary flowers (peonies) throughout the space
2. Added secondary flowers (ranunculus) between the peonies
3. Placed line flowers (delphiniums) to add height
4. Filled the space with filler flowers (mock orange) and greens
5. Added more lines, texture and movement and with scabiosas, nigellas and sweetpeas

Using peonies can be a little tricky sometimes. If you’re buying them early in the season from flower wholesalers, you may need to purchase them earlier than usual to give them enough time to open. On the other hand, single-petal varieties tend to open very quickly, so it’s best to store them in a cooler until you’re ready to arrange them.
Another consideration is their size and weight. Large peonies can be challenging to use in bouquets as they’re heavy and tend to create a wide, flat area that can disrupt the overall shape. I recommend selecting small to medium-sized peonies for bouquets, and saving the larger blooms for centerpieces or bigger arrangements where their size can really shine.
I created this bouquet using the StemSlider bouquet-making tool. If you’re interested in learning more about it, you can check it out from here!
