Today, I am sharing a bouquet I made recently with large Mums to achieve a more organic yet modern look, using only flowers and no greenery.
If you are making bouquets by hand (I always make bouquets in a cylinder with my StemSlider tool, similar to making a centerpiece), velvety textured stems like Mums are helpful and make the bouquet-making easier as they are not slippery when you are bundling all the stems in your hand.
This large Mums had a green center, so I selected flowers that have a green center or green color, such as white double Anemones, white Helleborus, blush Scabiosas, and added little cool colors of light blue and lavender.
In this modern organinc wedding bouquet, main flower is Mums, submain flowers ( small mass and small form flowers) are Ranunculus and Anemones, line flower is Tweedias, filler flower is Helleborus and movement flower is Clematis.
Here’s the material list that I used and some tips for this modern organinc wedding bouquet.
Material
Mum (white/large) – 6 stems
Tweedia (light blue) – 6 stems
Clematis (lavender) – 4 stems
Scabiosa (blush pink) – 6 stems
Anemone ( white double) – 5 stems
Ranunculus (peach) – 7 stems
Helleborus (white) – 5 stems
Tips to make modern organic wedding bouquet
Add Clematis at the end to give a nice movement to the bouquet.
Place a nicely opened Anemone and Scabiosa in the middle area to make a focal point.
Cut some of the Tweedia shorter and add one or two in the middle area as a filler, and keep some of them with longer stems to add them in the outer area to create nice lines.
