Hello Everyone!
I'm floral designer, gardener and your flower bouquet coach. I'm so glad you're here. Let's enrich your bouquet skills together! Read my story
This bouquet is inspired by ikebana, a style that values balance, space, and the natural beauty of each stem. Rather than filling the bouquet with many flowers, this approach uses just a few and allows more space between them, letting each stem stand out.
Foliage and branches also play an important role. They add texture, color, and unique structure, while gently supporting the flower stems within the arrangement.
In this article, I share how to create this ikebana-inspired bouquet using the mini-StemSlider, a bouquet-making tool that’s especially suited for those who love a modern, structured style. I also include the flower recipe to help you recreate the look yourself ❤️

1. Set up the mini-StemSlider and prepare all your materials for arranging.
2. Arrange three roses. Place the first rose slightly toward the middle and back with a longer stem. The second rose goes in the middle and front with a short stem to create a focal point. Place the third rose toward the back, with a height between the first and second roses.
3. Shape three yucca leaves into gentle curves, secure them with a stapler, and place them close to the roses so they naturally support the stems.
4. Add two calla lilies, grouping them on the right side of the roses and allowing their elegant lines to stand out.
5. Place one stem of hypericum at the front with a steep angle, and one stem at the back, left side of the highest rose to make a balance between the right side and the left side.
6. Add four stems of eucalyptus, filling in any gaps between stems and adding lines where needed.
7. Finish with oriental bittersweet vine, using its natural branching to create movement and flow.
8. Remove the bouquet from the mini-StemSlider and secure it with floral tape or twine.
